Nest

Coco GB releases her debut album Nest. Since October 2025, she has unveiled her three singles Full Moon, Couteau, and Je n’ai pas compris, leading up to the full album release.

Halfway between darkness and sensitivity, Nest is a collection of raw moments, living tableaux, and relentless reflections. It is a musical narrative rooted in beauty and nature, in humanity and existence. With this first full-length record, Coco GB showcases the full extent of her artistic finesse in a work that blends grunge, electronic, and psychedelic folk.

"Nest is an album that dives straight into the heart of fear, without a safety net, in search of connection—with myself and with others. I’m a human being seeking answers to questions that are too big for me. I’ve wanted to give up so many times, but that would be like giving up on the beauty that remains in this world, that remains within me." - Coco GB

An emerging artist from Montreal’s scene, Gabrielle Brigitte, aka Coco GB, offers an immersive journey into intense, strange, and cinematic soundscapes. Her songs — a unique and spellbinding fusion of melancholic art pop, trip-hop, and psychedelic folk — carry a distinct post-punk philosophy at their core. It's avant-garde and catchy, singular yet surprisingly accessible. While grief and loss play a crucial role in her songwriting process, she also draws from the simple, luminous joys of nature and human connection.

Through its 10 bilingual tracks, Nest tells a sensitive and brutally honest story of transformation. Recorded using samples from nature and instruments, then captured in fully live sessions with her musicians — without a metronome or overdubs — the album bears a raw, unpolished, and vulnerable signature. It is groovy, grunge, electronic, and intimate. In a dizzying dive into fear, love, and madness, Nest calls on us to keep our heads above water, to remain open-hearted and curious in a world that exhausts what is sacred within us.

In an era where everything can feel hollow and transient, Coco GB stands in resistance to AI, hyperproduction, and sterilization, while bowing to nature and poetry. A classically trained pianist and visual artist, she creates a multitude of sets and objects that support her sonic universe. This artistic identity becomes the driving force behind her work, carried by the music and the words she shares.
